Key to abbreviations: sg = singular (said to one person), pl = plural
(said to more than one person, inf = informal, frm = formal, m = male
(said by males), f = female (said by females), Pan is said to men,
Pani to women.
The choice of words for welcome depends on the number of people doing
the welcoming (any, sg, pl) and the number of people being welcomed
(any, sg, pl).
