...I have taught ASL I and II at Highline Community College. I received high points from my students for my teaching abilities, Sign Language knowledge and ability to make learning fun. I have real life experience, currently working with a deaf woman as a interpreter.

...During this year of being a TA, I had the opportunity to work with several international students, and I believe that my students were successful writers even if English was not their first language. Also, I'm a bit crazy over algebra. I hated pre-algebra; the question "Why do I have to memorize all these stupid formulas!?" was never answered.

...Each science investigation will be documented in a portfolio. This integrates science exploration with language arts lessons. This also demonstrates the development of specific science skills such as observation, hypothesizing, and categorizing, as well as drawing conclusions and documenting the results.

...When I got into college I took classes, thinking that one day I would meet some deaf people. I became very passionate about the language. Sign language is good language to know because you don't know when you will meet some who is deaf.
