Neorunic script

The Neorunic script is a alternative alphabet for English invented by Eric Johnson, who thinks that there are too many silent letters and strange ways to pronunce words in the English language. This script is designed to make it easier to determine the sounds of each word for foreigners studying English.

Direction of writing: left to right in horizontal lines
Used to write: American and Canadian English. Can also be used to write British English.
All plosive and fricative consonants have a voiced and unvoiced glyph assigned to them. The unvoiced consonants are in the first column, and the voiced consonants are in the second column. Note that the glyphs are the same, but a line is added to add the voice to the consonant.
For the phoneme "ɔ", use either the "ɑ/ɒ" glyph or the "o" glyph depending on the original letter.
Emphasis marks are used for the equivalent of typing in all caps in standard English.
The glyphs for "tʃ" and "l" are different. "tʃ" is written above the line, while "l" extends past the writing line, like a standard lowercase "p" in English.
As above, the glyphs for "h" and "ng" are different. "ng" is written partly below the line.
In words such as "tree" and "drive," the "tr" and "dr" are written either as is or as "tʃr" and "dʒr" respectively.
The "kh" as in Scottish "loch" is written as "kh."
