Sounds like one of the languages of the First Nations in Canada or the US. Guess Chris Miller will know better or narrow the choice, at least.
I agree that it is Canadian First Nations. Algonquin? Anishnabe?
The answer is Oneida (Onʌyotaʼa:ka), a Northern Iroquoian language spoken in southern Ontario in Canada, and in New York state and part of Wisconsin in the USA.
