Can you identify the language, and do you know where it’s spoken?

The language is Abnaki which is similar to Malecite ( or Maliseet) spoken in my province of New Brunswick Canada.
Based on the one English word, I was going to guess something spoken in the Dakotas…
I knew it could be an Algonkian language. They do not have the phonetic complexity of the Athapascan. I know how to distinguish them from the Iroquois and the Siouan – they sound very similar to me – and certainly they do not resemble the very complex Salish at all, with its infinity of ejectve sounds.
After reading what Hank wrote, I searched and watched the clip of the Abenaki creation story.
The answer is Western Abenaki (Wôbanakiôdwawôgan), an Eastern Algonquian language spoken mainly in Quebec in Canada.
The recording comes from YouTube:
Abenaki. At first I thought it must be Algonquian but then I heard the distinctive [ɔ̃]
