Language Quiz 9 February 2020 By Simon Here’s a recording in a mystery language. Can you identify the language, and do you know where it’s spoken?
Kind of sounded like Klingon at first but that’s not it. I did hear the clicks but I’m not familiar with languages that have them.

The answer is Taa (ǃXóõ), a Tuu language spoken in Botswana and Namibia. The recording comes from YouTube:
Is it a Sino-Tibetan/Burmese language or a Iroquoian one?
Sounds South African to me with clicks. Some sort of Khoisan?

It’s clearly Khoi-San, very complex in “click” sounds, perhaps Khoo language.
