  1. I’d say a variety of Arabic, or at least a language heavily influenced by it. He seems to mention Africa, so I’m guessing that’s where the language is spoken. No idea what region/country, though.

  2. A lot of parts are embeddings in modern Hebrew, but the whole text is one of the Jewish Arabic dialects, probably Iraqi Jewish Arabic or something very close to that.

  3. I would agree that it is certainly a Semitic language and probably a dialect of Arabic but which one I can’t even guess.

  4. Considering that right now the link is showing a clip of length 0:00, I’d say it was a sign language. 🙂

  5. I agree with Aharoni since I can understand half of what he is saying (“he became religious … so I will go to Africa, to the jungle … all kinds of butterflies” etc.). Interesting case of rather heavy code-switching between some form of Judeo-Arabic and Israeli Hebrew.

  6. The language is Judeo-Arabic (ערבית יהודית), a variety of Arabic spoken by Jews in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Yemen, Israel and the USA.

  7. There are several varieties of Jewish Arabic, and this one is definitely Iraqi, as I guessed earlier. You can see it in the YouTube comments on this video itself, and also on other videos by the same author.
