Like Hank, I think this is a sub-Saharan language, perhaps Bantu. In addition, I reckon that it is spoken in one of Portugal’s former African colonies.
Simon, I only occasionally view the language quiz because don’t know anything other than English, and it seems this this only attracts expert linguists and “language geeks” so to speak. This feature would hold more appeal to me if I know that at some (fixed) point in time I could check back and see what the answer is. There never seems to BE an answer – just an open question leaving us all to wonder.
What do say? How about the Wednesday after the Sunday you post the quiz, you give us all the answer?
