Today’s recording is part of a story in one of the indigenous languages of Alaska. Can you guess or do you know which one?

The story must be the gospel. She says Jesus and Peter.
Should it be haida? humm!
I’m gonna guess tlingit (sp?)… though i really have no idea.
I’m just gonna take a wild guess and say Tsalagi (Cherokee)!
Damn! Just realised it was suppose to be in Alaska! Oh well 🙁
I have no idea, but just because no one else mentioned it, I’d say “Yupik”.
It is the Athapascan language Gwich’in aka Kuchin or Loucheux.
Guido is right. The recording is part of a story told by Annie Lord of Old Crow, Yukon and called Dinjik Eenjit Nàhaazrì (The Moose Hunt). It is in Gwich’in, an Athapaskan language spoken in northern Yukon, northeast Alaska and in the northwest corner of the Northwest Territories.
