Mbula is a member of the North New Guinean branch of the Malayo-Polynesian language family. It is spoken on Umboi and Sakar Islands in Morobe Province of Papua New Guinea by about 2,500 people. It is also known as Mangap-Mbula, Mangaaba, Mangaawa, Mangaava or Kaimanga.
