Moloko is a Chadic language spoken in the Far North Province of Cameroon by about 10,000 people, particularly in the village of Mokio in the southeast of the Mayo-Sava department, and also in and around the cities of Maroua, Garoua, Toubouro, Kousseri and Yaounde.
Moloko is also known as Melokwo, Mokyo, Molko, Molkoa, Molkwo, Molokwo or Mǝlokwo
Moloko is written with a version of the Latin alphabet. There is some literature in the language, including translations of parts of the Bible.
Moloko has three tones: a high tone, that can be indicated with an acute accent (á), a mid tone, that can be indicated with a macron (ā), and a low tone, that can be indicated with a grave accent (à).
