Musey (Museyna)

Musey is a member of the Chadic branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family. It is spoken in the Mayo-Kebbi Est, Mayo-Kebbi Ouest and Tandjilé regions of southern Chad, and in the Far North region of Cameroon. In 2013 there were about 308,000 speakers of Musey in Chad, and there were 50,000 Musey speakers in Cameroon in 2005.

The language is also known as Bananna, Banana Ho, Bananna Ho Ho, Mosi, Moussei, Moussey, Musei, Mussoi or Mussoy. It is closely related to Massa and Marba, which are spoken in the same area.
