Songe (Kisonge)

Songe is a Bantu language spoken by 1 million people in the south of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In particular, it is spoken in the provinces of in Kasai Oriental, Lomami, Sankuru, Tanganyika and Maniema.

Songe is also known as Kalebwe, Kisonge, Kisongi, Kisongye, Luba-Songi, Lusonge, Northeast Luba, Songye or Yembe.

Songe is written with the Latin alphabet, and there are translations of the Bible, a grammar and a dictionary in the language.
