Toda (தோதா)

Toda is a Southern Dravidian language spoken in the Nilgiri and Kunda Hills in Tamil Nadu state in southern India. In 2001 there were 1,600 speakers of Toda, which is also known as Todi or Tuda.

Toda is written with a version of the Tamil alphabet, and according to the 2001 census, about 66-79% of Toda speakers are literate in their language.
