Asali Script

The Asali Script was created by Abdul Syukur Sugiharto as a altnerative script for Austronesian langauges. He was inspired by the Roman alphabet, and wanted to create similar script, but with easier and more beautiful writing. When he had finished and published it, some people said that the script is like the Armenian script or even Tengwar script.

Asali script can be used to write languages that have one voice in writing, such as Austronesian languages, but can also be used to write other languages by writing according how it sounds. Almost all the languages of the world can be written in the Asali script because each letter can be matched to the sound required in a language as well as the Roman script, but the Asali script can not be used to write tonal languages.

Type of writing system: alphabet, semi-abugida
Direction of writing: from left to right in horizontal lines
Used to write: Austronesian languages especially Malayo-Polynesian languanges. Could also be used to write other language likes Altaic languages, some European languages, Hebrew and Hindi.
Number of letters: 23 consonants (including the 'vocaler', which has no sound), 6 vowels
There are main letters and additional letters
There are modifier mark and reduplication mark for consonants
The way of writing a language is according how its sounds
Consonants and vowels are standard form, but can be adapted to a language if there are unneeded letters, or can modify existing letters

Notes

The consonant sounds can be adjusted to the sounds needed by a language
If a language still needs more sounds, they can be indicated with modified consonants
The same consonant should not be double-written, if you want to write a double consonant use consonant reduplication mark

Vowels

Asali vowels

Vowels can not stand alone - they must be accompanied by the vocaler. For writing, vowels must be preceded by consonants.
Vowels can be followed by other vowels and nothing more.
If a vowel is written followed by vowel 'eu' then it will be read long.
