Enjay

Enjay is an alternative script for English invented by Toonmaker. It consists of double-headed arrows with consonants in between and diacritics to their left representing vowels.

Notable features

Type of writing system: abjad / consonant alphabet
Direction of writing: boustrophedon - vertical columns running from top to bottom either from left to right or from right to left.
Used to write: English
The arrowheads represent the beginning and end of a word.
An X-like symbol is used as a word divider.
Vowels and diphthongs are diacritics that appear on the left side of a word.
This version of boustrophedon doesn't flip the characters themselves, but flips their arrangement.
