Foamemes is an alternative way to write American English devised by Earthcat Terrence and Rex Angular. Earthcat originally designed it to be used in phonics programs for younger children, but Rex decided that that goal was too lofty, so he proposed that it be used to teach phonics first, then in tandem with standard English spelling. Even then, Rex mostly just treats it as a constructed script to make cute characters out of.
