The Alphabet of the Angel Metatron is a magical alphabet derived from the Hebrew script. It was possibly created in the 1st century AD, or in Babylon in the 9th century, or in Germany in the 13th century. Nobody knows for sure. It is also known as the Alphabet of the Angel Metatron, the Alphabet of Metatron, the celestial scribe, or Alfa Beta Shel Metatron. It is/was used for Kabbalah magic and appeared on magic papyri, incantation bowls, amulets and elsewhere.
