Jah Hut is a member of the Aslian branch of the Austroasiatic language family. It is spoken by about 4,190 people along the Krau River in the south of peninsular Malaysia, particularly in the Temerloh district of the state of Pahang, and also in the neighbouring states of Perak and Selangor.
Jah Hut is also known as Jah Het. Dialects include Kerdau, Krau, Ketiar Krau, Kuala Tembeling, Pulau Guai, Cheres and Ulu Tembeling. It is not closely related to any other language, as far as we know. It can be written with the Latin alphabet.
