Ibria (איבריא)

Ibria is way to write Indonesian, and Malay, with the the Hebrew script developed by Abdul Syukur Sugiharto. He called it Ibria, an which comes from from Ibrani-Indonesia.

He is interested in Jewish community languages that are written with the Hebrew script, such as Yiddish and Ladino. However, the Jewish community in Indonesia does not use the Hebrew script to write Indonesian, so he devised the Ibria script.

Notes

Some letters have a final form which is used when they appear at the end of a word following the Hebrew system; such as kaf, mem, nun, pe, fe and cadi.
Alef when at the beginning of a word as אׇ is pronounced /a/, and when at the beginning of a word as א is pronounced [ə].
The e sound [ə] like in ‘joker’, is not written in the middle or end of the word, and is only written at the beginning of the word with alef (א)
Tet is commonly used at the front and middle of words, while taw is commonly used at the end words.
vet, zayin, khet, qof, syin are used to write loanwords
Hamza’ is glottal stop if placed after vowel.
