Batak Dairi is a Northern Batak language spoken by about 172,000 people in the provinces of Aceh and North Sumatra in Indonesia. It is spoken in particular in the Aceh Singkil regency in Aceh province, and in the Dairi, Humbang Hasundutan, Pakpak Barat, Samosir and Tapanuli Tengah regencies of North Sumatra province.
Batak Dairi is also known as Pakpak, Pakpak Dairi or Kata Pakpak.
There are ways to write Batak Dairi with the Batak script and with the Latin alphabet. There is a grammar and a translation of the Bible in Batak Dairi.
