Tupuri (Tpuri)

Tupuri is a member of the Northern Mbum branch of the Atlantic-Congo language family. It is spoken by about 320,000 people in southwestern Chad and northern Cameroon. In Cameroon, it is spoken in Moulvoudaye and Guidigis communes in the Mayo-Kani department, and in Kar-Hay, Kalfou, Datcheka and Tchati-Bali communes in the Mayo-Danay department in the Far North Region. In Chad, it is spoken in the Mayo-Kebbi Est Province.

Tupuri is also known as Toupouri, Tpuri or Tupuro. It is written with the Latin alphabet.
