Kannada for Tamil is a way to write Tamil with the Kannada script devised by Aahan Kotian. After being fascinated by the Sankethi language, a language based on old Tamil written in Kannada script, Aahan wondered what Tamil would look like when written in the Kannada script. Aahan believes this system could be used as a gloss to teach Kannada students the pronunciation of Tamil, as well as for local Tamil people living in Karnataka who may want to be able to type Tamil using Kannada keyboards in abscence of Tamil keyboards.
