Shqiprillic (Шќіпрілік)

The Shqiprillic Alphabet was created by Daniel Fregoso Bañuelos to write Albanian using the Cyrillic alphabet. The idea came to him while studying the geography of the Balkans and learning about the Soviet influence in Albania during the Cold War era. Since Macedonia borders Albania, he decided to use the Macedonian Cyrillic alphabet as a base for the Albanian adaptation. Daniel also incorporated certain letters from various Turkic and Uralic alphabets; for example, he took the letter Dhe (Ҙ ҙ) from the Bashkir language, and he used the letter Er with tick (Ҏ ҏ) from Kildin Sami to represent the letter Rr in Albanian.
