Saturnian

Saturnian is an alternative alphabet for English and Italian designed by Murray Callahan. It is partly based on Tolkien's Tengwar script.

Saturnian alphabet

Notes

Letters in red are for writing English, while letters in blue are for writing Italian.
Vowels have secondary diacritical forms, as shown in red. They can be placed above any vowel to represent the first vowel of a diphthong, with the base vowel acting as the second.
Consonants and vowels can be doubled by writing a wavy line above them. It can also be written below vowels if a vowel diacritic is already written above them.

Transliteration

Tutti gli esseri umani nascono liberi ed eguali in dignità e diritti. Essi sono dotati di ragione e di coscienza e devono agire gli uni verso gli altri in spirito di fratellanza.

Translation

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
