Bamunka numbers

How to count in Bamunka (Ŋgieməkɔʼkə), a Southern Bantoid language spoken mainly in the North West Region of Cameroon.

Note: Bamunka numbers may have different forms depending on what is being counted. For example, when counting in general, two is bûu, but if counting animate things or people, two is bəbûu, and for inanimate things it’s ibûu. These forms are labelled G for general, A for animate and I for inanimate below.

If any of the numbers are links, you can hear a recording by clicking on them. If you can provide recordings, please contact me.
