Zulgo-Gemzek

Zulgo-Gemzek is a Chadic language with about 26,000 speakers in the Far North Province of Cameroon. In particular, Zulgo-Gemzek speakers can be found in Serawa in the Tokombere subdivision of the Mayo-Sava division, and also in the Mayo-Tsanaga division in the the southwest of the Far North Province.

Zulgo-Gemzek is also known as Zulgwa or Gemjek. Dialects include Gemzek, Mineo and Zulgo. Some linguists consider Zulgo and Gemzel as separate languages. The are different ways to write Zulgo and Gemzek with the Latin alphabet.

Zulgo-Gemzek has a high tone, a mid tone and a low tone. They are not usually indicated in writing.
