Windows

CJK text display and basic input software for Windows can be download from Microsoft ( http://www.microsoft.com), in the Internet Explorer section of their website.

Macintosh

Mac O/S 9 comes bundled with all Apple language kits, including Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese and Korean. These language kits include a couple of fonts for each language and pretty good input software. Mac O/S 8.5 includes software for CJK display but not input - see the 'Multilingual Internet Access' part of the system CD.
