Numbers in Hakka

How count in Hakka (客家话), a variety of Chinese originally from northern China that is now spoken the south east of China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Note: the pronunciation of the numbers is in the Sixian dialect (四縣腔), a variety of Hakka spoken in Taiwan, particularly in Miaoli County, Taoyuan, Kaohsiung and Pingtung County. The romanization system is Pha̍k-fa-sṳ (白話字), which was developed by missionaries from the Basel Missionary Society in China the 1840s and 1850s. Other varieties of Hakka, and romanization systems, are available.

If any of the numbers are links, you can hear a recording by clicking on them. If you can provide recordings, please contact me.
