The Tower of Babel (Genesis 11: 1-9)

臺灣話 Tâi-oân-oe (Taiwanese)

  1. Hitsii,天下 ee 人 ee 口音、言語 lorng 是 siokang ee。
  2. Yn 往東旁遷徙 ee 時陣, ti Sixnar ee 地遇著 一片 平原, 就 toax ti hiaf。
  3. Yn 彼此 zhamsioong 講:"來 ox! 咱 tioh 作 磚,ka 磚 燒-hof 透。" Yn 就 用 磚 當做 石頭,koq 用 瀝青 當做 灰泥。
  4. Yn 講:"來 ox! 咱 tioh 建造 一座城 kab 一座塔,塔頂 拄天,為 boeq 傳揚 � ee名,免得 咱 分散 ti 全地上。 "
  5. Iahohoaf 降臨,boeq 查看 世人 所建造 ee 城 kab 塔。
  6. Iahohoaf 講:"看+aq, yn 成做 一款 ee 人民, lorng 是一款 ee 言語,如今 既然 作起 cit'ee 事來,以後 yn 所 boeq 作 ee 事 就 kvia'ar boo 一項 thafng 禁止 laq。
  7. "Larn 落+去, ti hiaf ka yn 打亂 yn ee 口音,ho yn ee 言語 彼此 boe 通。 "
  8. Zu afnny Iahohoaf 趕 yn tuy hiaf 分散 去 全地; yn 就 停工,無起造 hit'座 � laq。
  9. 因為 Iahohoaf ti hiaf 打亂 天下人 ee 言語,ho 眾人 分散 kaux 全地上,所以 hit'座 � 就 叫做 Papiet,就是變亂 ee 意思。
