Lazybones / Diogyn

Lazybones / Diogyn

I wrote this song in March 2020, inspired by my frequent unwillingness to get up in the morning.

Lazybones / Diogyn

Get up, get up
It's time to greet the day
And wash your cares away
And set out on your way
But I know your bed
Is nice and warm and cozy
And you'd really rather
Stay there

Just a few more minutes
An hour or two
And then I will be up
I promise you
But it's really cozy
In this bed
So let me doze
And rest my head

Get up, get up
And move your lazy bones
And put away your phone
You know you should
Get up, get up
It's time to dance and sing
And gather up some ning
And that'll give you zing
