Naki is a member of the Eastern Beboid group of Southern Bantoid languages. It is spoken by about 2,000 people in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. In particular, it is spoken in the villages of Naki, Mekaf (Munkaf), Nser and Lebo in the Menchum department in the north of the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
The Naki spoken in Mekaf / Munaf is known as Munkaf. There is also a dialect of Naki, or a closely related language, called Mashi which is spoken in southern Nigeria. Naki can be written with the Latin alphabet.

My story is about two animals. The chameleon and the hare. Once upon a time, these animals were great friends. One bright day, the chameloeon paid the hare a visit. This visit was aimed at informing the hare of a race, which had been organised by all animals to choose the king.
