Noni is a member of the Eastern Benoid branch of the Southern Bantoid language family. It is spoken by about 50,000 people in North West Region of Cameroon. In particular, it is spoken in Kumbo District of the Bui Department in the south east of the North West Region.
Noni is also known as Noone or Nooni. There are two main varieties of Noni: Upper Noni and Lower Noni. It is closely related to Ncare and Saari. It is written with the Latin alphabet.
