Kaonde is a Bantu language spoken mainly in Zambia, and also in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). In 2010 there were about 240,000 Kaonde speakers. In Zambia Kaonde is spoken in the northwest and central regions. In the DRC Kaonde speakers are known as Luba. The language is also known as Chikaonde.
