Gĩkũyũ (Kikuyu)
Mũnaara wa Babiloni
- Kĩambĩrĩriainĩ andũ a thĩ yothe maarĩ na rũthiomi rũmwe, na maahũthagĩra ciugo imwe.
- Na rĩĩrĩ, marĩ thaamainĩ kuuma mwena wa na irathĩro nĩmaakinyire kũndũ kwaraganu thĩinĩ wa Babilonia, magĩtũũra kuo.
- Magĩkĩĩrana atĩrĩ, “Rekeei tũũmbe maturubaarĩ na tũmacine moome biũ.” Kwoguo makĩgĩa na maturubaarĩ ma gwaka, na rami ya kũmanyiitithania.
- Magĩcooka makĩĩrana atĩrĩ, “Rekeei twake itũũra, rĩ na mũnaara ũrĩa gacũmbĩrĩ kaaguo gekũhuutia matu, nĩ geetha tũgĩe igweta, na tũtigaakĩhurunjũke thĩ yothe.”
- Na rĩĩrĩ, MWATHANI agĩikũrũka kuona itũũra rĩu, o na mũnaara ũcio andũ maakaga.
- Akiuga atĩrĩ, “Andũ aya oothe me rũmwe, na maaragia rũthiomi o rũmwe; gĩĩkĩ nĩ kĩambĩrĩria kĩa ũrĩa marĩĩka. Ihinda rĩtarĩ iraaya nĩmarĩhota gwĩka ũndũ o wothe ũrĩa marĩenda!
- Rekeei tũikũrũke nĩ geetha tũkahĩngĩcanie rũthiomi rwao nĩ geetha matikaiguithanie mĩario.”
- Kwoguo MWATHANI akĩmahurunja thĩ yothe magĩtiga gwaka itũũra rĩu.
- Itũũra rĩu rĩetirwo Babiloni, nĩũndũ kũu nĩkuo MWATHANI aahĩngĩcithanĩirie rũthiomi rwa andũ oothe, na no kuuma kuo aamahurunjire thĩ yothe.
