A photo of Simon Ager, author of Omniglot, taken on 9th April 2018

Simon Ager is ainm dom, táim i mo chónaí i mBangor sa Bhreatain Bheag, agus táim ag saothrú mo bheatha ó Omniglot. Is as Lancashire san iarthuaisceart Shasana ó dhúchas mé, agus d'oibrigh mé sa Fhrainc, i Geirsí, i dTéaváin agus sa tSeapáin.

Tá suim mhór agam i dteangacha chomh fada siar agus is féidir liom cuimhneamh air, agus d'fhoghlaim mé cuid mhaith dóibh agus dul chun cinn measctha agam. Tá Sínis, Fraincis, Breatnais agus Gaeilge réasúnta líofa agam, is féídir liom cómhrá a dhéanamh i nGearmáinis, i Spáinnis, i Seapáinis, i nGaeilge na hAlban agus i nGaeilge Mhanann, féadaim Iodáilis, Portaingéilis agus Esperanto a léamh agus thuiscint, agus tá beagán Seicise, Briotáinis, Rúisis. Téaváinise, Cantainise agus Teanga Chomharthaíochta na Breataine agam.

Níos mó eolais faoi m'eachtraí ag foghlaim na Gaeilge agus teangacha eile

Lasmuigh de teangacha, is é mo paisean is mó na ceol - bím ag canadh i roinnt grúpaí, bím ag scriobh amhráin, bím ag cluiche uirlisí ceoil éagsúla agus téann chuig ceolchoirmeacha go minic. Is maith liom na rudaí seo a leanas chomh maith: léitheoireacht, scátáil, rothaíocht agus lámhchleasaíocht.
