Chepang is a Chepangic language spoken by about 59,000 people in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces in central Nepal. In particular, it is spoken in the Makwanpur, Chitwan and Dhading districts in the south and west of Bagmati Province, and in Gorkha District in the east of Gandaki Province.
Chepang is also known as Cyo'bang or Praja. There are two main dialects: Western Chepang and Eastern Chepang. There is a way to write Chepang with the Devanagari script, though it is rarely written.
